I love this Acne scarf, so much that it inspires me to play with the appearance and so I edited/added Black Square Elements.
You know those moments (creatively speaking) when you’re being thrown too many choices (coincidentally like now) you easily loose the direction. Once in a while I find simple things as these and they give me back my perspective. It’s funny how you can find that “something” in materialistic things, I do sometimes or sometimes more often. Huh… that’s why I love fashion so much I guess, but then again, imagine: if this scarf for example provides me with that very focus, (I would go this far and say that very drive) you then, can see pass the materialistic aspect, that most don’t.
When creating sublime pieces like this scarf I wonder, Jonny Johansson, founder and creative director of Acne, where do his interests come from, which parts in art, photography, architecture and contemporary culture does he connect to fashion?! It does matter, the piece itself, as this scarf does not only represent the designer but it’s a reflection piece of our culture.
If you look up in the dictionary, the exact meaning of Essentials says; ” Constituting or being part or being part of the essence of something, inherent. Something fundamental.” It has a meaning to it if you can feel it. You can also have that at Zara, the beauty lies in the eye of the beholder.
